I spent the day with Lane and her husband today and I invited them. They love the idea and will try to be there.

I am totaly stoked about this. I am trying to get Doghouse to go with me.

muddy, you could always freeze and ship to matt fly.  We will put a jar out at serving, couple bucks each would pay for ingredients and shipping easily (and quite happily)

Then we have Matts brisket another night.... we need to plan these meals to be served at certain day/time sharp.  We messed that up last year and didn't get to fully appreciate Matt's brisket.  I ain't makin' that mistake twice!

Mama mia, Muddy! I'm gonna have to drop 10 pounds by March, so that your meatballs and Matt's brisket can fatten me back up.  8-)

My friend in hIGH SCHOOLS MOM MADE EM LIKE THAT. PIGNOLI NUTS AND RAISINS. I thought they were awesome with raisins.  You have to try it to get it, sounds odd but the flavors really work.  Havn't had em like that since the 80's.  That would be special for sure.

I would love to do ribs but it will cut six hours out of my fishing time. But maybe I can come up with something by then. My ribs are top notch and well known in my little circle. I will at least bring some of my secret BBQ sauce or something. Not for the brisket. BBQ sauce on brisket is sacreligious in my book.

March is "hot times" on the old Marsh. Not a good time for me to be roving the countryside. Have a great time out there.

OK, now you got me going. LOL! One of the reasons I built the "Alpster mobile" RV is because I travel quite a bit to cook for churches and motorcycle rallies, etc. All you guys who say you can cook (muddyman, RW, etc.) will have to keep your promises ;). I will load up the bare essentials for crowd cooking and might even whip up some GUMBO for the weary anglers. This thing is getting out of control, it will be a media event before you know it.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

It already is a media event, wait till you see the video I'm going to build from this rally!

:)

Seriously, I plan on spending a whole day just chasing people down so I have footage of as many as I can get,...on water.

It's painful to pass up this opportunity, because I'd just love to put some real people and real faces

on the many names I've come to know and enjoy. As ya'll know, I've just come back from a vacation in Canada (pike).

But more than that, I wait all year for the month of 'March', it's my favorite month in Florida for big bass,

I'm sure Avid and George Welcome would agree.

Fellows, have a safe, happy and productive trip, I'm looking forward to pictures of some real Texan Hawgs

Happy, "Running & Gunning"

Hey Muddy,

Whey you say gravy, your talkin about red sauce right?  These Rebles (excuse me I mean "Southern Gentleman") think gravy is white and comes slobbered all over bisuits.  Down here they call this "breakfast"

Just a reminder to everyone going who is not a Texan.

Don't forget to get a Texas fishing license before you leave.  They can be ordered online, but I don't know what to buy.  Texas has alot of different choices, and I need to know which one to get. Im non-resident, but what are packages?  Do I need a freshwater stamp?  Here is the list's link:
