Talk about a BLAST!!!!!  I thoroughly enjoyed meeging everyone who came there, placing the people behind the screen names, and just laughing it up until I couldn't breath!  Some nice fish were caught too, despite 25-35 mph winds every day except the last.   Details to follow on those ;) ;) ;)

As for Ricky's Boat Rentals:  I've never met a person so abrasive and rude as him.  The man literally cussed at me and the group, unprovoked, for really no apparent reason.  As I was walking to my room to get a boat key to return to him, his foul mouth never stopped flapping the whole way.  In addition, the boats he had were not in good shape - kind of scary, really.  Several of us had boat issues, to which Ricky said it was "user error" -- that's it (yup, a busted trolling motor upon delivery is considered "user error", drained batteries upon delivery are considered "user error"... the list goes on). The man has no customer service skills whatsoever.  I thought when I first met him that maybe he was having a bad day. But he was like that on the phone and subsequent encounters.  In short - Don't EVER use his services.  Instead, JJ's Boat Rental is highly recommended, so give them a call and forget about Ricky.  Ok... onward to the more positive stuff...

I can attest, Muddy is absolutely hilarious in person.  I believe the phrase "The harder and harder I push, the righter and righter I go!" is going to be in everyone's sig line soon.  ;D  I could write a book about the "Two Mooks in a Boat", but I think Russ tells the story best.

I can tell you this:  the people I met were some of the finest folks I've ever had the pleasure and privlege to meet.  What a great group people!  If you think the people on this forum are great, they're EVEN BETTER in person!

Keri and I are bit tired from the travels, so I'll post more later (as I'm sure everyone else will too).

Pics, stories, videos, and details are certain to follow!  WHAT A BLAST!!!!

Guys,.....I'm home. lol

Many of you don't know about my travels woes I think but yet again, US Air, had it out for us.  Long story, but got home about midnight finally.

I am going up to my lake, ice should have been out as of yesterday, never know though.

I had my computer fixed by stratosdadri while I was away and we are making a plan to hook it back up when I get back from the lake.  He is fishing the park today, the place his daughter is holding the CAST fundraiser next week, so  we will hook up this afternoon and get this report back rolling.  Thanks again to him for getting this done while I was away.  Much appreciated.

Please be patient as I need to accumulate all the footage from everyone before I can even start the video.   I want to make sure I do the best job I can with this one and also be sure I have all the media from the attendees before I begin.  I know, it's a drag but there are stories with pics to back them up that are worth the wait.

ATTENDEES---please contact me immediately if you have footage so we can get that trnasferred to me.  Also, I know it's hard but try not to let out too many stories just yet.  ;)

Video soon!!

LBH

(safe travels to the mooks, still in transit)

I'm glad you posted that... no one said it was a secret! (or at least I didn't get the message!)

Bighead, that would be a good idea.  You were key is putting a few folks on fish.  Nice job! ;)

I am home, still ice up at the lake.

Computer is up and running like a champ, just waiting on the rest of the media.  Fletch, Norm,Mike, I got yours, thank you.

All the goods will be revealed soon.  I have no idea how this video will turn out, lots of mixed stuff but at the very least, you folks will get the feel of the week we had.

I'm on it and won't stop till it's done, could take a few days once I have all the footage so hang tight folks!

Thanks!

Well, left Dallas with Russ and NBoucher at 10a yesterday morning to land in RI at 4p. Was finally able to pull into the driveway this morning at 2a thanks to US Airways. Great service let me tell ya. ::) Not really a suprise considring US Airways started the trip for us NE guys the exact same way. But anyway that's for another thread.

Still pretty jet lagged and tired but wanted to jump on here and let everyone that I met know that it was a pleasure and incredible fun to get to see you guys and gals in person and fish and swap stories and all that good stuff. I'm already psyched about next year and I haven't even caught up on rest from this year yet!

For those who didn't get to go, start saving for next right now. If it's anything even close to this year's trip you're not gonna want to miss it. Like Glenn said these guys are even better to meet in person and you could just feel the great sense of friendship every second we were there.

For those who don't know the NE crew had a really hard time getting down there and as for myself were pretty wiped out by the time we got there. I got a good day of fishing in then to add to my frustations was sick for a day and a half. Ended up getting another good day of fishing in before I left. Caught some fish but nothing over 3lbs. To add insult to injury US Airways decides to stick it to us again on the way back and caused just as much trouble getting home as it took to get there.

Overall after dealing with all this frustation and not really not catching anything Fork size on Fork this is still one of the best fishing trips I've ever had. The fishing really was secondary to meeting and hanging and laughing with all these great people. Can't wait to see the video it's going to be the best one yet and you guys are going to love it.

BTW, I think I heard Russ say the release date was Memorial Day Weekend. ;D I guess he's trying to compete with big boys or something, I dunno.
