SneakySnook Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Went out today and had a great day. I caught 6 bass and lost 2 when they jumped. I caught 2 17" bass and 1 20". The 2 that I lost were about the same size. Still mad about losing those fish. I caught the fish in about a 30 yard part of the lake. I might have been able to catch more but I had to go to dinner with the wife. Wish I could have had at least one more hour fishing. I caught 4 bass all in the same spot. 2 that were about 2lbs, 1 1lber, 1 that was 17". On my last cast I caught of the day I caught another 17" bass to end the day. So it was a great way to end the day. Quote
SneakySnook Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 The bass that ended the day for me. Quote
Gotta Love It Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Nice fish Sneaky! Is that an apartment complex you are fishing? The fish seem to be very healthy! I noticed you live in Lutz. I was wondering if you fished anywhere else in the Tampa area? Then again, maybe you don't since you have been posting some very nice fish from that lake! Keep the pics coming!!! Quote

I work with a guy that lived there and he said some big bass are caught out of those lakes (Crappie too)! I fished the big lake about ten years ago... Only nailed a few dinks... I guess those dinks could have grown up to be the ones you are catching now ... Quote
Lightninrod Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 WTG SS! Love my home State of Florida. Dan Quote
SneakySnook Posted March 24, 2007 Author Posted March 24, 2007 Gotta Love It the big lake had a big fish kill about 2 years ago with all the hurricanes. The found a couple 15lbers dead and saved a few 10-12lbers. Last year I saw a guy catch a 13lber and a friend told me someone caught a 14.5lber so, who knows what's in these lakes around here. I just wish I had a kayak. Quote
Gotta Love It Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 That sucks that those hurricanes killed off fish of that size... I heard that lake had some nice size bass but not that big!!! Atleast you know there are still double digits in there. I always tell my wife if she divorces me, then I am moving to Lake Carlton Arms (for the fishing!) LOL!!!!! Anyway, maybe a canoe would work too instead of a kayak? The guy I was talking about had a canoe with a TM. He did flip it on the big lake and lost all his equipment. I hope to see pics of your future double digit here... soon! Quote
