bighed Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 this week . Fished again on Tuesday with some pretty good luck. Went up in Glade under overcast skys and sprinkles in the morning. Temp were 60s-70s and water was 64. Spent most of the morning fishing a slow swimming lizzard after Chad had some good hookups on his new Powerbait motoroil/ green flake baits. He ended up breaking off three nice 5lb. plus fish by making mile long casts into the timber. Never had a chance to get them out before they were wrapped up and gone, :'(. He's learning. The sun came out mid day and we went to find a few bed fish. Found a large female on a bed maybe 8-10 lbs. and Chad got her hooked up on a frog for a few second before she came unbuttoned. She came back but didn't have much interest after that. Found a few on a road bed that were fresh and bit quickly. Camera died so these pics are off the phone. Wandered around the grass flats finding bed fish mostly relating to timber picking up a few more. Some good old boys reminded us a storm was coming and when the wind kicked up we loaded up and headed for home. The storm was a pretty good one and had the truck hydroplaning at times. Spoke to RW Husker on the ride home and he reported some pretty good fish but a little bit low on head count. Today he said the storm shut down the bite pretty good. I'm sure he'll report when he's back to the computer. Didn't realize at the time we were fishing the same road bed maybe 50 yards apart. big mageshack.us] Quote
fezkoe Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Sounds like a pretty good day and those are some nice bass you guys are holding. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Thanks for the report BH. Sounds like a great day of fishing! You guys need to either send each other a pic of your boat so you can recognize each other or exchange numbers. Funny though, on a place the size of Fork, 2 bassresourcers were 50 yards apart and on some nice fish. Coincindence?? Quote
