Bass Bro Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Anybody still use these for trailers on there jigs?Just wondering Quote
flipinstick88 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Oh heck yes! A brown no. 11 will work on any jig. Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 1, 2008 Super User Posted October 1, 2008 Yes, in tournaments. I saw where KVD actually rinses all of the dye out of the pork trailer and uses it that way on jigs. In other words, he squeezes the pork trailer and washes it with water until it loses as much of the color and taste as possible. In other words, he says the fish like the "feel" of the pork trailer and not necessairly the color or taste. Go figure. Quote
Joe Boss Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I read in Bassin that Mike Iaconelli uses them with his jigs. I was thinking about giving them a try. The look of the bottle reminds me of Gefilte fish. I think thats the reason I haven't tried fishing with it yet, that stuff brings back bad memories. Quote
rondef Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I have some but I have had better luck with the Rage Tail chunks so now the Uncle Josh's just sit in my tackle box. Quote
guitarkid Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 After seeing some of my Grandpa's that were 30 or 40 years old, I don't think I will ever use them. Or look at them. Geeze those were gross. I think they were like a green color originally but it was all 1 big black gooey mass in a jar that I hope never breaks or leaks. -sm Quote
