PeterF Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 On Monday SE_FL_BassAddict (Robert) came over on a VERY cold morning. It was under 40 and that's cold for us Southeners . We hit the water at around 6:45am and about 15 minutes later we had 3 fish with Roberts weighing in at about 2lb 12oz. We measured the fish and logged it and though it back in before tagging it (blaming that on the cold) ;D. We fished until 1:00pm and caught over 30 fish including the one in the photo that weighed in at 2lb 11oz. I'm glad Robert came out because he noticed that my pond (25 acres) is producing under weight fish. Since then I have started to work with a Biologist from Florida Fish and Wildlife to turn it into a trophy lake . Quote
Troutfisher Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Congratulations! That is a nice fish... Those lillypads can be a real producers when you fish them good. Quote
New 2 Bass Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Nice. Good time no doubt. Peter you are a lucky guy to have your own personal honey hole. The biologist wouldnt be John would it? Dude I'm down the next time you go looking for a partner. That hat is so un-Floridian. ;D ;D Al Quote
Guest avid Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 By all means work with the biologist. but if your catching large numbers of fish of a particular size, I would start to cull that year class. good luck on your pond improvement. Quote
