Guest avid Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 I was able to load and unload my canoe, new optima battry, and TM along with assorted tackle and rods into and out of the pick up for the first time since my surgery. I fished for about 3.5 hours. Lousy conditions, lotsa rain, but my Forgg Toggs kept me dry. I managed two keepers. But the big news is that by getting the smaller battery and the fold up dolley, I am back in the game. I miss the big Trojan battery because with that I could fish all day and come home with a 70% charge, this D34M opitma came back with 50%. But who cares? I was able to do what I love best and not just stay at home to get crabby and fat (whoo boy did I gain weight) The pictures should be familiar, as they reflect my usual standard of absolute crapola. I couldn't be happier I feel pretty good, a little sore, but no real pain. Anyway here are the bassies Both were about a pound and a half. first on yo-zuri hardcore drum, second on horney toad (wierd shot) Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 13, 2007 Super User Posted January 13, 2007 Did you fish with spinning tackle or have you fallen completely "off the wagon?" Quote

Guest avid Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Did you fish with spinning tackle or have you fallen completely "off the wagon?" I was fishing alot with the BSR852 GLX matched with YOUR Stradic. I was using it for topwaters, and jerkbaits. Perfect outfit for those applications. Once I laid out the bucks for the Loomis, I was committed. Now I'm still a few bucks short of the Steez, but I'll have one at the fork. Can't thank you enough for your generosity in loaning me this wonderful reel. RW ROCKS Quote
Syfer420 Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 HEEEYYYY!!!......need a fishing buddy?? ;D ;D Wheneever you go out and want some company think of your ole buddy Scott lol. Super User burleytog Posted January 13, 2007 Super User Posted January 13, 2007 Having to sit on your rear when you could be out fishing or hunting is tough. I've had to deal with entirely too much of that over the last year and a half. Now I see what that guy was talking about in reference to my sunglasses. ;D Quote
