SneakySnook Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Went out today with my new daiwa zillion 7.1:1. I can't believe how smoothly it cast. I went out today from 3:30-5:00p.m. and used my go to bait. I put on a BBH on a 1/8oz. owner sled head and caught 5 bass. All fish were in the 1-2.5lb range so nothing big but a good way to break in my new reel. Quote
NEBassMan Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 nice work. feels great to catch bass on the first day out with a new rig. 8-) Jason Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted January 16, 2007 Super User Posted January 16, 2007 I handled one of those reels at BPS last weekend, very nice. A little out of my price range, but definitely nice.... Quote
Guest avid Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 How do you fish the baby brush hog on the sled head? thanks Quote
SneakySnook Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 How do you fish the baby brush hog on the sled head? thanks I drag it along the bottom and twitch it a couple times and let it sit. I also work it the same way you would a shakey head jig. Just work it the same way you would a t-rigged lure. Quote
Fishin49er Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Sounds like some fun fishing. Glad you are enjoying the new reel, its always exciting to fish with a new one. Quote
