Okeechobee_Cracker Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Well If you look at this picture..................All the way to the right is about 10 feet of water and to the left its about 200 yards of 2 feet deep water........I figured the bass would be all the the RED CIRCLE makeing beds sence there was shallow water near deep water.......In the BLUE CIRCLEIt was about 1 foot deep and all arounded it it grandually droped off to about 2 feet to the left and 10 to the right so I threw my fluke in thier most of the time...........Now in the YELLOW CIRCLE Thier was some kind of wood embeded in th eground and also stuck out of the water a little....I caught one bass from under it.................all in all I only fished this area for about 20 minutes pulling one small one out and having 2 hits......I threw a fluke and a cane toad catching the bass on the fluke..........I hardly ever fish this strange pond but today I decide to give it a try hoping for at least 4 fish......Im not sure why I didnt get more but Im going back tomorow and Ill see what I can do Quote
bass_101 Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Crankbait, jig-n-pig, carolina-rig, spinnerbait. That's what I'd be throwing. JMO. Jig-n-pig and the carolina rig or even a texas rig would be a good idea. Again, JMO, I'm not a big winter-fisherman considering my lake is solid right now! That looks like a pretty sweet spot thought. Good luck with it. Quote

Lightninrod Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 OC: Beautiful pic! Very clear and sharp with great coloration but how do you draw on it? That's always puzzled me when I see it so I thought I'd ask here. Maybe some other guys would like to know too. . Dan Quote
