Gave it another try today and got a great start to a new year... Caught 11 fish in 2 hours. My roomate Jason got the biggest, we didn't weigh it but it was probably 7- 7 1/2 lbs! we had 3 others around 3 lbs or so. The rest were 2 pounders. We need to get some scales on his boat ::) Hope everyone had a great new year!

Nice fish. Congratulations. What baits were you guys throwing?

Carolina rigged flukes...

Carolina rigging flukes is a great presentation for fall/winter bass to mimmick the shad die off..Flukes have great action weightless, but on a C rig, they really immitate a dieing shad near the bottom, skipping up and then fluttering back down.

looks like the flukes score again, this time c-rigged? Is this something you normally catch fish on or something semi- new?

Been doing it for a few years... It seems to work really well in the early spring too. I had alot of luck with it this past summer, but I used a couple of split shots instead of a bigger weight. It works well to pick off the bigger fish that hang out under a school of bass feeding on the injured baitfish 8-)

Had some of my best days with a c-rigged fluke...
