IEatBass Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Hello everybody! I'm an ok bass fisherman and I've found this site very informative. I hit El Cap in Lakeside (San Diego) today with a 2 friends. I had to split at 1pm but got 3, 1 came unbuttoned and missed 3 more. Buddies had 1 each when I left. 50's water, fishing a flat in 23' of water. Me Big D with the big fish of the day on a shaky head worm (up until I left) Tricks with a big mouth 1 crank bait fish 1 shaky head fish and the rest drop shotting. This is my first time drop shotting in fresh water. Boring but effective. Happy New Year! Quote

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Welcome aboard! It seems like almost every pic of a Cali fish has the same backround. A nice way to keep your private holes a secret. It also looks like your lakes(reservoirs?) level can fluctuate quite a bit. We have a few key Cali guys on here, you'll fit right in. The name though,......I think we liked Erod better, lol Quote

Of course the reservoirs that are stocked with trout usually have a better grade of fish. Thanks for the welcomes! LOL! I eat salt water bass... ;D Quote

Super User Matt Fly Posted January 4, 2007 Super User Posted January 4, 2007 Welcome to the forum. I left Lakeside in 94. Can you catch me up on the area lakes in San Diego County. Are they only allowing you to fish from sun up to sun down still? Still charging daily ramp fee, park use fee, and Launch fee? How much now? Have you tried San V yet? any others? Nice to have you on the forum. Hookem Matt Quote
