buzzbaitfool12 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Decided to go to Varner today instead of Lake Nuna..It was 51 to 53 water temps and extremely cloudy..The temp dropped to 50 after several days in the 60s and 70s..you would think it would be ideal conditions for jig fishing and worm fishing..Not varner...started slow and finished fast..caught a good many with no famous lunkers to talk about but did manage this fish on a trap in 3 ft of water..We fished about 3 hrs and my hands could not take it anymore..Here is the biggest fish we caught at 5.7 lbs..
