Skeet22 Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 For anyone that may be looking to build a website for there club I have a recommendation. www.godaddy.com I just recently used it to build a site for our club and it was pretty painless. The prices are reasonable also. Here is a link to our website if you wish to check it out. I am still in the process of adding content. www.stumpbumpersbassclub.com Quote
ksboy Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Nice site! Good member pics and good club info!! I belong to a small local club here in Kansas. There are some similarities in our clubs. Just for giggles, I was wondering how your schedule runs. For instance we fish every other Sat from the 1st weekend in Apr till Oct (15 tournaments). At the end of the year we have a banquet where we all get together with our wives and swap stories and eat a good meal. How does your schedule go? Thanks, Al Quote
Skeet22 Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 We fish once a month from Jan through Oct with two weekend tournaments per year to make up for the two months we take off. Tournament dates are voting on at our monthly meetings. We fish for points and award plaques for the top three anglers and lunker of the year if over 5 lbs. Quote
riverfish86 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I am suggesting to my club that we introduce a website. I have a few questions. What are your monthly costs and how much website building experience did you have before you started? I'd love to get something where we could get all of our information on the web because we have monthly meetings as the only way to spread information. Quote

If you go to GODADDY.com you can see all the prices. It will show you a ton of options to choose from. I went on there and picked what I thought would be sufficient enough for my club. I proceeded all the way to checkout to see the total price. I found out that even though they give you a per month price you pay the whole package amount at once. example: 3.99 per month for 36 months. You would pay 143.64 up front. Check it out, pretty cheap and they have tutorials to help you out. http://www.godaddy.com/ click on SITE BUILDER listed under products. Quote
Backlash_NC Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Our club uses godaddy as well and we've had no problems to date. However, we have access to some real good IT people to support all of our stuff so any problems are directed to them and they can take care of it for us. Another great resource we use is Facebook. I created a Facebook page for the club where I can update faster than sending it to our IT friends for updates. And with most people on Facebook now it's easy to keep everyone connected and up to date. Quote
Skeet22 Posted February 5, 2011 Author Posted February 5, 2011 Sorry I did not respond sooner I almost forgot about this thread..If you have basic knowledge of using html codes building a site through Go Daddy is a breeze. I had no experience prior to building this site. It does take a little time to learn all the little tricks and how to navigate the website design software but once you get the hang of it it is very easy. Good luck. Quote
