AnglerNFuego Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 I wanted to share with all fellow anglers a website that I ran into while looking for some information on my next assignment. Heck you might even be able to share some of the information found on the site with a service member on his/her way down range. Just as with many of us, they have unique and funny stories to tell about their catch. http://www.baghdadflyfishing.com/index.html If this goes in another location, I apologize. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 23, 2008 Super User Posted June 23, 2008 This is the right section. Although we don't usually allow solicitation for another fishing website, I think we'll make an exception for this one. 8-) Quote
BadKarma42 Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Good stuff. I read an article about service men and women in either Outdoor Life or Field and Stream a while back about fishing in Baghdad. I'm glad our troops have an opportunity to relax (if there is such a thing in a war zone) and be "normal" (again, if there is such a thing) while fighting and defending. Thanks for your service. procraft68 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Great site. I hope everyone sends them a BIG thank you for what they are doing over there. Those guys and gals face more in a day than most of us do in a life time. I hope God brings them all home safe. It's nice there is an e mail link on there so we can keep in touch. Thanks Glenn for letting it on here. Snag Quote
Brian_Reeves Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 There wasn't much fishing to be done where I was at. Too dangerous. it's a cool idea though and I think it should be passed onwards to the states for soldier's on R&R. Quote
Korea_Bassin Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 I like this photo from that site: Nothing like a lady fishing in a PT uniform with a sidearm! Quote
