Me and some buddies are starting a fishing club. We need some ways to get people. We come up with ads in the newspaper, an announcment at school, and put papers around. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Flyers at Mall parking lots are a very CHEAP but effective way of advertising most product. Not 100% sure on how it would do in the fishing community

The closest mall is an hour away, but the grocery store will work. I am working on flyers now. Thanks!

That is a great question.

The Bass Times article will be of great value to you guys.

Have you thought of contacting the FLW or B.A.S.S. Federations in your state and asking for assistance?

Can you post flyers at the local tackle shops?

I have noticed that guys join clubs where they know some of the guys so word of mouth is a very good tool.

We have openings in our bass club and we are just waiting until our current members bring their friends to join.

Good luck.

Make a website, and add the link to BR.

Ask to leave flyers in a fishing store.

Some resturaunts have boards for people to add stuff WITH permission.

Flyers at the local bait shops and boat ramps/Marina's should do the trick.  If your looking for younget members then the high school and local colleges too.

Our club holds a Thursday evenging(5-8) tournament on Rayburn. We have acquired 14 new members within the last year from that alone. We have 34 members and 25-30 fish each month. Very competitive.

Our local newspaper has a section in the Friday's addition just for fishing. It list the upcoming tournaments and the results of last weeks tournaments. It also has a list of clubs with openings and contact information for each club. You could check to see if your paper does that and if they don't then ask them to start.

Drive to a local lake, and put flyers on windows with boat trailers. Look for trailers that are for bass boats.
