I received a solicitation in the mail today for this club. Dues seem reasonable enough, $1.00 per month, magazine, and the opportunity to occasionally test products, although I'm sure that's not going to happen too often.  Anybody belong or know anything about the organization?

Is it worth it or are they going to hound me for more money for things.

Not just strictly bass related, from what I could tell.

the NAFC is pretty much a scam. The magazines are not worth it since they never have any good articles. You get to test field 1 lure for a year and it tends to be something cheap and crappy. Every month they send you spam mail and they keep trying me to pay membership fees months before it ends. The forums are not really that great.

I would not waste my time with this company. Unless you wanna spend 12$ on spam mail, e-mail spam, 4 crappy magazines, testing out a 2$ lure, and also constantly having them ask you to pay to pay for your memberships early every month go ahead. To me its not worth the money and time.

Original Question! and I think your from Pa. right?  We have alot of free sites in this state. I vote > "don't do it"  I did it for 3 years . Here is what I can say from experience > Any N.A.F.C. life member is going to tell you how great it is because they are stuck in deep DO DO for the life of the club ( suckers). What you get for $12 ( 12 or 15 ) > 12 months of begin you to be a lifer and each time it will be a offer $12 less than the last  time. A test product every 14 months ( they need to take two months to threaten you dis-membership).If you don't send back your test form > you don't ever get a test product ( value $5 or less ). You will not be the guy who tests and keeps the 60K bass boat or any other item over $30 for lifer or $10 per year man.  Make sure you tell them "NO BOOKS " or you'll be sending them back with postage.     I belong to  or stay active on 12 sites in this state at no cost.   Oh! They give you 6 magazines a year and they are filled with 80% advertisments.  Good luck.

I agree the North American Hunting and Fishing clubs are basically scams. I was a member of each for one year and they both do the same things. Send you a crappy ad filled poorly put together magazine then send you books and other items that you have to send back. Hold the magazines by the spine and piles of inserts fall out.The useless trinkets and lures sent are just that USELESS! Spend your 15 bucks on BASS or FLW you still get the uncountable ads but a much better publication. Buy three cranks or a couple bags of plastics and you will much better off. The ads get to me! I only watch Roland Martin and Shaw Grigsby if the episode is close to me. I know thats how these gentlemen make a living, but to me the fishing is lost in the constant bombardment of sales pitches!
