Slow rolling, stop-n-go, or kneel-n-reel will get a trap down as deep as you want to go

Traps are good year round  :)

They will drop as deep as you want them to , if you want to stay shallow , start reeling as soon as it hit's the water . The longer you wait to retrieve it , the deeper it will run.

It is a excellant bait for fall.

they are great fall baits. i like to put a regular treble in the front, and a smaller ewg treble in back for sniffers. a god tip to do when fishing these is to not just reel at a steady even pace. throw in some pulls, jerks, twitches, ect. to find out what the fish want.

early spring I will fish them like a jig- in some cases dead stick them after they hit some rocks- its weird but I have had some lazy winter bass just come over and pick it up after they hear it crash 30sec to a minute before-

How far down will these lures go in the water?Do they work good in the fall? Thanks :)

They will go to the bottom :;)

I use them a lot in the fall.  I like to fish outside weed edges where the weeds are here and there.  Reel the trap through the sparse weeds and rip it out of any weeds you come in contact with and keep a good grip on your rod as you rip the trap free  ;D

1. They run about 3-5ft on a steady retrieve, but this can be altered by varying your retrieve.

2.  HECK YES they work in fall.  It's my favorite time to through them, and I continue to have awesome success with them through early to mid winter.  Then it picks back up in early spring.

For all of you Rat L Trap fans,  Pick up a couple of those floating Traps.

They dive to around 2-3 ft on retrieve and can be weighted with suspend strips to suspend.

That's what they are designed to run - 3/5 feet.
