Topwater_Popper Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Is anyone here a B.A.S.S. youth member? If so, how do you like it and is it worth joining? Thanks. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 I had the good fortune to meet the director of the RI Youth team, he is also a member here now, if you have any specific questions, PM "stratosdadri". He has the RI program running very well. The kids get a ton out of it. They don't just do tournaments, they do community activities like helping at CAST events, and a yearly camping trip that the kids TOTALLY look forward to. Great program. There are quite a few youth here that also participate in the program, as a matter of fact, "Ben" in going to the classic to represent his state. I'm sure he can answer any of your specific questions also. Quote
Gorgebassman Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 My daughter who is 11 joined a few months ago and she loves it as far as club participation she hasnt had any but if your a youth just learning how to fish the master fishing program is a neat deal. She has spent most the cold days of winter when she cant get out learning the knots and how to rig plastics and so on with her little lesson plan that bass sent her. Quote
StatosDadRI Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Just saw the post and had to jump in. Thanks LBH, But if you or anyone needs any information from joining a current chapter or starting your own please just ask. I will get you the information and your local contacts. Joining a Jr Bassmasters Club or just becoming a National Jr Angler in B.A.S.S. will provide you with a great fishing/learning experience., as well as a chance to qualify and possibly win the Junior Bassmaster World Championship.
