BASSGUY31 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Hello everyone...Anyone from Bucks County PA area and know of any fishing clubs in the area? Quote
Lager7 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 I live in Central Bucks, and belong to Trailerhook Bass Anglers. We meet the 1st Weds of every month at the New Brittian town hall. Our web address is http://www.trailerhookbassanglers.com/ . We are always looking for new members, and I belive that we have openings for non-boaters, if you don't have a boat. Tight lines. anthony6377 Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I'm in the Doylestown area. I fish various spots on the Neshimany Creek and Lake Galena mostly, as well as Lake Nockamixon on occasion. I've recently "discovered" Lake Towhee and I'm anxious to try that out, too. What spots do you fish? Quote
BASSGUY31 Posted July 4, 2006 Author Posted July 4, 2006 Doylestown huh, I'm right in Langhorne.Recently just got back into fishing again. I have fished Nockamixon and lately I have been fishing Lake Luxemberg in Core creek park. I was out there this morning with a buddy and we caught about 20 perch, 2 catfish,2 crappie and a 3 1/2 pound largemouth. We were out for about 2 hours. I been fishing that lake alot lately and have been doing pretty well. How's lake Galena? I heard its supposed to be pretty good? Quote
anthony6377 Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Lake Galena is pretty good. I haven't gotten out there yet this summer, but I've been reading that it's still decent. I haven't had much luck on any of the Neshaminy Creek spots I've been fishing; but, unfortunately, because of my work schedule it's the only thing I really have time to fish on a regular basiss. That should change soon, though. I'm hoping to get the boat out to Lake Galena with my father tomorrow. Quote

anthony6377 Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I pulled a 3.3pndr outta galena today bank fishing wow small world...who woulda thought? Where were you fishing at if you don't mind my asking? Quote
slappy Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Where the old road goes into the lake. There is a nice size drop off parallel to the bank about 35ft out. Leave some for me Quote
anthony6377 Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Do you mean the hill that slopes down at a considerable angle and is on the dam side of the lake? If so, I think I know where you mean. Right by the rock ledge, correct? Quote
HoggyO Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I'm from the Levittown area and I am also looking for a club. With So Many Guys looking for a Fishing Club,as anyone thought of starting our own? We could all agree on a meeting time and place and talk about fishing spots, starting tournaments,Fees for new members Just Remember... All the existing Bass clubs have had to start somewhere. Just a thought... ~Hoggy Quote
CourtJester13 Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Hey everyone. I just joined this forum and also PA for that matter. I moved from Point Pleasant, NJ out to Newtown, PA almost three years ago. To say the least, I was obsessed with Salt Water fishing since I was a kid, but having moved away from the Atlantic =[, I had no real choice but to take up Freshwater Fishing, and I have to admit its not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Although I still do miss the beach. I was wondering if there are still any spots open to join any clubs or if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction as far as some places to fish, on land that is. Any information on either subject would be greatly appreciated. I'm about to go swim acrosss the Delaware to reach one of those "islands". I've had great success over there. Anyways like I said earlier; any information would be appreciated. Thanks everyone and hope to chat with you all soon. Brian Quote
