Fishie Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Wish I could figure out how to get in on one of these tournaments and find a partner who does these. I want to try a tournament and I figure I should start out smaller. Quote
IllinoisBasser Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 I fish Coffeen tournaments about once a month. Unless you have a boat, it's tough finding a boater. These are all team tourny's. The best suggestion i can offer if you are a non-boater like myself is put an ad on the wall at your nearest tackleshop. I joined a bass club here in Belleville,i found a guy who wanted to fish some tournys out there and couldn't find a partner. Now that i think about it, finding a local bass club might be your best option. Good luck to you, Tom Quote
IllinoisBasser Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 If you are a boater, there are 3 tourny circuits out there right now. 1. Big John Winkelman's-It's about 60 bucks a boat. 2. Gene Cailey's- I believe it's the same as above, or a little cheaper. 3. Bass World Sports- Is about 160 bucks a boat. Coffeen is a great lake to fish, and it also has a max. horsepower of 25. Quote
Fishie Posted January 2, 2006 Author Posted January 2, 2006 Yep don't have a boat. I guess I will have to find a guy somewhere with a boat that would like to fish these. Coffeen lake is about a hour away from me and I would like to try these. Quote
