DDbasser Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Almost_A_Pro, there are several clubs here in northeast Ok. I am currently looking to join one myself. if you do a search on oklahoma bass fishing clubs you'll find several. Good Luck!! Quote
DDbasser Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Right now, i'm just fishing small city lakes. Like Claremore, Shell lake, and Dripping Springs. I also fish Skiatook, Oolagah, Ft. gibson , Eufala, Spavinaw, and Keystone. I'm planning on fishing Grand in the near future, A buddy of mine and I are going to fish a big bass tournament on Grand August 28th, he fishes Grand quite a bit and knows it fairly well. This will be his and my first tournament. I plan on fishing as many different lakes here in Eastern Oklahoma as I can. Quote
ALMOST_A_PRO Posted July 11, 2005 Author Posted July 11, 2005 ft. gibson is a good lake, im pretty familiar with it. i would like to get in a tournament but i only got a 14ft aluminum with 10hp motor. Quote
DDbasser Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Almost a pro, when you fish Gibson, do you fish up the river or in the main lake? I haven't fished Gibson in several years, and I just bought a new (to me) Triton bass boat. I may go to Gibson this weekend. Quote
Aravix Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Thanks for the info DD. I live in Oklahoma myself, and have only seriously done my bass fishing at Grand, mainly because of the houseboat we have there. Quote
cgs2004 Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Almost_A_Pro, where are you planning on going to college? I've got a friend at Univ Of Tulsa and he is trying to put together a Univ. team to fish in American Bass Anglers. The ABA has a special division for college teams that compete against eachother. Its a great way to get alot of tournament experience for very cheap (we don't have to pay entry fees). Quote
DDbasser Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 fishnfishmore, I'm just down the road in Catoosa. If you ever need someone to fish with shoot me a pm. Quote
BD Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I am in Tulsa and fish often. The boat slips around grand.... I think I have fished every lake around us by now lol Quote
bixbybasspro Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Hey, Bixby Oklahoma here. Almost a pro, being 17, you ought to fish some BFL's next year as a co-angler. I'm also 17 a senior in Bixby High School. Quote
BigBear Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Edmond, OK here! Wish I had more lakes in the area. Several good crappie holes this way, but not exactly the best bass fishing. At least that I know of. Quote
DDbasser Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Welcome aboard bigbear!!!! I've been told that Hefner and Overholster were pretty good bass lakes, but I've never fished them myself. Quote
