If you're looking for novelty lures, look at http://www.bottlecaplure.com/home.html

Kinda fun, although I think these guys take themselves too seriously.

You can make those lures really cheap too.  Just ask a bar owner to save the caps for you.  You can get over a hundred in one night...lol  Then buy all the other things you will need to make them into lures, like O rings, some kind of metal hole punch, treble hooks and you are in like flint.

Yes they do catch fish too.

Catbird...remember, this is a Youth Angler trying to find inventive ways to make money for a club fundraiser.  Without coming out of pocket as much as possible.

thanks squid, i used to use one of those bud can baits and caught a lot of fish on it till a gar decided it wanted it more than i did. my "go to" baits are torpedoes anyway so the bud can isnt far removed.

i saw an ad this morning for a bottle cap bait, i have a hunch u think thats what im talkin about.

nope.

the bud can bait im refereing to is a miniature beer can, plastic, about the size/ dimensions of a torpedo but shaped just like a beer can. perfect replica of a budweiser.  ya fish the thing like a cross tween a t'pedo and a hula popper.

neat conversation piece, even neater when it actually catches fish.

I have seen alot of Rat-L-Traps painted with Alabama and Auburn on them. You might check with them and see what they will charge to do something like that for you.
