Needemp Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Is the Strike King hook on thier jigs strong? In other words, does the point bend easy like cheaper hooks? What brand jig has a real sharp and strong hook that remains that way? Quote

earthworm77 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 I make custom jigs with a blk nkl Gamakatsu round bend hook. They don't get sharper or better than that. www.micromunchtackle.com Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted January 27, 2007 Super User Posted January 27, 2007 If you order some of Craig's jigs, pick up a couple of bags of his El Gordo tubes, too. You will not be disappointed. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted January 28, 2007 Super User Posted January 28, 2007 Strike King jigs= JUNK, the hooks bend, rust, and dull easy. The paint flakes off the jig heads too easy as well. For a good mass produced name brand jig, buy a Booyah, I fish them almost exclusivly now and have no complaints. The BPS Stacey King jigs are pretty good too. Quote
lubina Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 I've used the SK Denny Brauer Pro Model and the Bitsy Bug for a long time and never had any problems, a lot of fish on them. Quote
