Super User Tin Posted February 28, 2010 Super User Posted February 28, 2010 It is sponsor, s-o-r. It is the most commonly misspelled word in this section and is also probably the most important and commonly used as well. Not SER, CER, COR, SSER, SSOR or some other combination. It is like writing a letter to get into a college or other school and not spelling the name of the school correctly. For example Johns Hopkins School of Medicine throws out hundreds of applications from promising hopeful doctors because they typically address it to John Hopkins. Quote

Radical Conservative Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 This NEEDED to be said. Although, I doubt it will help all the people who firmly believe the word 'sponsor' has an 'e' in it. Quote
simplejoe Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I'm not in this section that much. But I have noticed this before, the people who want sponsored couldn't even spell the word right. I'd just laugh and go on. Quote
