My Background

My Name is Brett Tryon, I just turned 19 years old. My grandfather taught me to start fishing at the age of two, and at the age of 5 I knew I wanted to be a professional BASS Fisherman. I started teaching myself the sport at the age of 12 when my mom would drop me off at ponds to fish, here I learned many new techniques but it wasn't enough for me. So back in 2004 I joined the Loyalhanna Bassmasters, the guys in that club have taught me more than I ever could imagine about the sport of bass fishing. I'm still on the quest for knowledge about the sport every day and I try to share everything I have learned along the way.

Here in Western Pennsylvania lakes are small and hard to come by leading to intense competition for spots during tournaments. There aren't many limits brought in up here even for the best of the local fishermen. I have been fortunate to grow as a bass fisherman under these conditions, it has taught me to adapt to changing conditions. My ability to adapt, I think, is why I continually win more and more tournaments every year. In every tournament I go to I fish at a level of 110% effort and since I started using my boat last year things have been getting easier and easier for me.

Mission:

To promote youth in fishing and to become a professional angler myself by increasing my knowledge through larger tournaments. On the path to professionalism in fishing I will promote all Sponsors future and present and upon doing so will endorse their products at the best of my ability. I share my knowledge with anglers worldwide currently and will continue to do so in the future by teaching seminars and by taking youths under my wing to teach them the fundamentals, ethics, and sportsmanship in bass fishing. Conservation is also a large topic I promote, in my mind it is one of the biggest problems facing society today.

Goal:

To become a professional Angler on the BASS tournament trail

What I can do for my Sponsor:

I can attend shows and/or teach seminars in my local area at their discretion.

Plaster their product and logos all over my Tournament shirts, vehicle, boat, and personal websites.

Fish any tournaments and/or related events they ask of me, within reasonable boundaries.

Throw in good words for them via word of mouth to potential buyers of their products.

But it mostly comes down to what my sponsor wants me to do gets done, under reasonable boundaries.

Fishing Organizational Enrollment:

Member of BASS: 2000 - present

Member of PA BASS Federation: 2004 - 2006

Member of PA BASS Federation Nation: 2006 present

The TBF (The Bass Federation, FLW affiliated) took over the PA BASS Federation in 2006 (I believe that's the year they did it), that's the reason that I became a Member of the PA BASS Federation Nation, I wanted to stick with BASS.

Club Accomplishments:

Founder and President of the Loyalhanna Jr. Bassmasters (15 yrs old) 2004-2006

Youth and Conservation Director for the Loyalhanna Sr. Bassmasters: 2006-present

Loyalhanna Jr. Bassmasters Angler of the Year in 2004, 2005, 2006
