Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 17, 2008 Super User Posted February 17, 2008 I'll ask the same question I always do. What sets you apart from the other 100,000+ anglers with resumes? You should find something that will make you stand out. The worst thing to do is blend into that group. This thing is different for everybody and it's up to you to find it and promote it. Oh and get rid of those bubbles on your website. They are cute but distracting. You don't want them to be the focus. Quote
DDH Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 Everyone's resumes do look the same online. Thats obvious, but I do several things to actual hard copies that I send to sponsors that shows what makes me different than that other 1000's of resumes they see. I put little things that show my personality and my character. I show that I'm young, determined, and very energetic. Thanks for your input though. I put my resume up, just to get my name out there, get feedback from, and maybe just getting myself in the door with potential sponsors. Quote
WBFishing Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 I like the website. I say keep the bubbles. No one else I have seen has bubbles, that's the way you live right. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 You want a resume to read well, not just be a list. Sponsors want to see your command of the English language if they are going to consider you as a representative of their company. Quote
DeBassin619 Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 You know just trust your gut insticts on how it should be written......If its your destined path....it'll work out. Plus i'm not a big fan of resume's anywayz......someone could look so good on paper..but may be represented totally different in person. Its pretty much a hit and miss, trust me...just be yourself. "Fishers of men"....winks...Keep the good work up! Quote
HesterIsGod Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I am certainly not an expert on this subject but i would have to say that your resume is not bad. If you win one of those many tournaments you fish then that will really help, because you dont have a ton of success yet, but a little. Quote

Although this is a good suggestion, keep in mind that your ability to generate excitement, attention and SALES is much more of a factor than winning. Winning, is just one of the multiple ways to get the attention you are seeking for the represented company and/or, it's products. One of many. Quote
