I read once , something about the bubbles behind a buzzbait.  When they are there, it means the barometer is low, should be a good bite.  No bubble trail, don't bother.

Have you found this to be accurate within your experiences?

While I am certainly not Bobby, I can recall having this exact conversation with you not too long ago.

While the barometer being low will help with the topwater bite, I have caught fish on the buzzbait when there was no bubble trail, on blue bird days, etc.

Let the fish tell you what they want.

I am not Bobby by any means myself as well but I remember seeing Marty Stone talking about this on ESPN before Bassmasters one morning a while ago.  He was commenting on the quality of bites you got when the baro was low and the bubbles were there.  He said that you stand to get just as many bites with or without the bubbles but when you see the bubbles behind your bait the fish almost always get your bait instead of slapping at it.  After that day I have noticed very similiar results.  Sorry if I am out stepping my bounds.

Not at all, your answer makes sense and I only addressed this to Bobby as he is the guru of the buzzbait.  All input is welcome :)

Never made that connection with bubbles and baro.  I have noted that when the baro is low, the fish are sometimes suspended.

From what I have studied in all of my years of bass fishing is that there is a lot of science behind it. Humans ,animals, fish ect do things at different times for different reasons under certain conditions. The moon and the barometer are two of the most governing factors. There are a lot of studies being conducted on the gravitational pulls and forces of the moon and how it effects every living creature on this earth.. Through millions of years of evolution, mother nature or God,who ever put this together is aboslutly brilliant.BUT there are also random acts that happen outside the so-called norm.(This is what creates evolution and makes variety) I believe that what is being stated is when the barometer is high-the pressure keeps the bubbles to a minimum-pressure keeping the bubbles down as well as the opposite for low barometric conditions.I believe that that could be possible by pressure and condensed water. I have also learned one thing about bass fishing -I THREW THAT BOOK OUT A LONG TIME AGO>Bass fishing is like mechanics-*a process of elimination with an educated guess* When I go fishing I try do do things that no one else is doing-be different -dare to dream type thinking. I have caught bass under EVERY barometric condition there ever was. A lot is dictated by water temp at times but I have caught them with bluebird skies-50 degree water-you name it -when everyone I am fishing with says are you crazy -My response to them is "WATCH AND LEARN"- The moon is responsible for so much that happens on our Earth. There are spores that multiply causing coral reefs-only on full moons-many of the creatures spawn on full moons-the sea turtles only spawn on full- There are flowers-and all kinds of crops that rotate around the full moon-tides ect are all governed by the moon. The scientists believe that if the earths moon gets knocked out of alignment for any reason the Earth will start wobbleing out of balance causing total mass destruction with the oceans ect. I believe that shallow bass are catchable bass. If the bass are shallow under any barometric pressure you can catch them with a buzzbait. While some bass go deeper and suspend under high pressureconditions I know they can also be caught using the right technique. So for the question asked above-I believe that the barometric pressure has something to do with the activity of fish but if you think I am staying home and not going fishing and throwing a buzzbait because of high pressure you are nutz.SO WHO"S GOING BUZZBAITING TONITE

I never notice the size of the bubbles but will try to look for it, I look at my barometer every time I fish and log it with the amount of fish caught, baits used and depth.
