ben23 Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Hello all, My name is Ben Dziwulski. I am a 16 year old sophmore (10th grade) from Woodbine, MD. As a freshman, I went to St. John's College-High School on a basketball/ academic scholarship, but had to return to Glenelg High School due to financial situations and distance (1.5 hour drive through DC every morning!). I have fished all my life, and two years ago dedicated myself to pursue a professional fishing carreer. As of now, I fish for the Jr. Proformance Fishing Team. I have fished three of the tournaments this year, and i have finished 3rd, 3rd, and 2nd. By the end of this year I will be on the Maryland State team, and hopefully have an oppertunity to make it to the Junior World Championship. Fishing is not the only thing in my life, and it is not my number one priority. My numero uno- #1, duty is to worship my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. i dedicated my life to serve him in 7th grade. I am extremely involved in my Church's (Grace Community Church) activities and youth ministry. Every Sunday I help out the preschool kid service, then head to my High School service afterwards. Academics: High School GPA so far (9th/ 10th grade): 3.9 High School weighted GPA (factors in G/T or AP classes): 4.3 Sports: MD waves AAU basketball (5th in nationals for 2005) Starting Varsity Basketball (Point Gaurd- 16.7 ppg) Varsity football (running back (1203 yards) and starting DB (8 INTS)) 5 Star Basketball Camp MVP (2003,04,05) I just wanted to put my feelings out there, and hope that things will work out, as they always will according to God's plan whether I like 'em or not, hes always got a plan Potential sponsors please email me at b23ball23fisher@hotmail.com Thanks you for reading, BEN GOD BLESS Quote
deadeye32. Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Good stuff man, it's nice to see your goals and priorities are both solid and realistic. Keep up your fishing success as well as everything else. I think your main objective now will be to see how well you will respond to not being successfull and rebound from a bad tournament, game, (ext.). Not every tourny will be as easy as your previous one's, but with your faith first and priorities in line, I wish you great success in the future and good fishing. Good start. Quote
ben23 Posted May 23, 2006 Author Posted May 23, 2006 Thanks, I absolutley agree with you; a true champion should be judged by the way he handles himself during the good times and the bad- on and off the court (water ) Good luck to you too BEN GOD BLESS Quote
ben23 Posted June 13, 2006 Author Posted June 13, 2006 I won my tournament this past sunday, brining home the whopper 30$ check ;D I was using a daiwa alphas ito spooled with 15 lb test Yo-zuri hybrid on a Powell 6'9 heavy action. I threw a weightless tube (mann's hardnose series) with a 4/0 EWG Gama. hook over the tops of matted hydrilla, and focused on little grass points or other slight abnormalities, I won by 4lbs 8 oz I really hope to qualify for the Jr. Classic, as I am already in the State Qualifying Tournament on the Potomac River.
