squid Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Baylor_PhiDelt, You should never correct the grammer of someone else when you didn't check your own before you posted it. At the end of every sentence, your first letter to the next sentence begins with a capital letter. Example from your Resume: Sponsorship Needs Since I am going to an expensive college and begining to fish federation tournaments, I will need financial help with entry fees, gas, and equipment. i do not require lodging because i prefer to camp out. I myself never really gives a crap what I read on the forums as long as they are not rude to others. So, before you print something...make sure yours is as good or better than the person/persons you are correcting. Learned that one during 12yrs of the Military. Don't mean to sound rude, but it bothers me when people point out and not help. You are the College man, so help him with his Resume so he doesn't hear it from others when he tries to get sponsors. bassman18 Posted August 5, 2005 Author Posted August 5, 2005 Thanks Alot Squid. What Branch did you serve in? Quote
Will Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Just make sure you show off your stylish hair do!! So all the competitors will want to go get their hair done at your Mom's salon! Are you talking about something similair to what Skeet Reese had at the Classic? That will get the attention of other anglers for sure. Quote
bassman18 Posted August 6, 2005 Author Posted August 6, 2005 What did Skeet Reese do at the classic??? I didnt watch it. Quote
Will Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Their is a picture in the 1st photo gallery, but its kind of hard to see. http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/classic/gallery?page=classic_day1_2005# Thats the only picture I have found. Quote

squid Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 No problem, just hate it when others correct people and they need corrections too. I served in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, or medic for the Marines. Quote
bassman18 Posted August 8, 2005 Author Posted August 8, 2005 d**n squid, i want to be a Naval Aviator after college. Quote
Baylor_PhiDelt Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 sorry guys, i do appologize. it was late when i made the post so it was as if i had nothing better to do with my time. i am not here to cause conflict so i will do a better job of having friendly and quality posts. :-[ :-[ :-X Quote
earthworm77 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Again guys not to be rude but you are trying to get S-P-O-N-S-O-R-S....not sponcers, sponsers etc. I know most of you guys are young, but you shouldn't try to come off that way in your resumes or you will simply be wasting everyone's time. Take the time to spell it correctly because most people wouldn't even open the resume up upon seeing the word sponsor spelled wrong. If you don't take your work seriously, how do you expect anyone else to take you seriously? Food for thought. Quote
IneedAnewScreenName-93875 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 bassman18, A friend of mine, Randy Howell, said ........."The way I look at it is, it does not matter who is paying your way to fish, as long as it is getting paid." You can read his entire article he had published on http://www.fishfactory.com about obtaining local sponsors. fff Quote
