Football jig rattle/no rattle

Do you guys use them with or without rattle for ledge from say 15-20 feet deep?

Never, due to never catching fish with a rattle. Without a different story. I believe the trailer makes more differance.

What I don't understand, most of the deep divers comes with rattle and they're one of effective lure for ledge fishing. Why not jigs with rattle too? Explain.

I never use a rattle.

With a skirted football jig, I use a rattle, with an open hook I don't.  Never really thought about why until just now.  It probably doesn't matter that much.
