NealinMO Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I have the black BPS weigh in bag but I think it has more holes in it than my dip net.. Does anyone make a weigh in bag that will hold up?? Thanks Quote
RobbyZ5001 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I don't think so... I always have leaks in my bags. Whether they be mine or the tournament bags handed out. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted August 17, 2009 Super User Posted August 17, 2009 I bought one of the clear Berkley bags and it's done well so far. I think all bags will leak eventually just because they are folded up when not in use. Thick plastic like that cant take but so much folding, getting wet, then drying over and over. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted August 17, 2009 Super User Posted August 17, 2009 The Black ones are one of the best. Don't use the clear ones with the ribs. It rubs off the slime coat. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted August 20, 2009 BassResource.com Administrator Posted August 20, 2009 The most common cause of holes is people resting their bags on the ground while waiting to weigh-in. Not only is that bad for the bags, but it's terrible for the fish - particularly in the warmer months. Great way to rapidly raise the water temps in the bag, thereby causing needless stress on the fish, potentially contributing to post mortality. Be a man and hold the bag. : Quote
Super User cart7t Posted August 31, 2009 Super User Posted August 31, 2009 I've been using some bags made by Glad. You can find them in the laundry dept. at Wal-mart. The bags are huge. You get about 5 of them for $7-8. They have a handle and even a ruler on them. Quote
senko_77 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I don't like the black bags. It warms up the water real fast and can stress out the fish. Like Glenn said, when you put down the bag it gets that water hot in a hurry. BPS makes a good bag and it's pretty affordable. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_74112____SearchResults They have 3 bad reviews on BPS.com but I've never had an issue with mine. Super User Tin Posted September 8, 2009 Super User Posted September 8, 2009 Love my black BPS bag. Myself and my dad each have one and have zero issues... Plus the black keeps everyone guessing. 8-) Quote
bassinri Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I have had nothing but problems with the black BPS bags. The last one I purchased ripped open the 1st time I used it sending fish out the side and on the ground. I took it back to BPS and they game me another one and it was leaking from the 1st time I used it again. I proceded to throw it in the trash where they belong. Quote
RI_Bass_Guy Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I have had my bassbag for 8 years and it still doesn't leak...great bag. Quote
John M Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 The GATOR GRIP. But along with a better quality bag and concern for the bass, you will encounter a greater financial expenditure to achieve your objectives of releasing a healthier fish. Two part bag. The outside bag is coated to prevent fin punctures and also has a zipper, to secure bag walking the docks. The second part of the bag is the mesh interior bag(removable) Can remove interior bag at aerated weigh in tanks(allows aeration directly to fish, not to fish contained in a plastic bag. Further fish can be weighed in interior mesh bag. Standard weight of bags can be tared out along with the weight of basket. Eliminating the need of the fish to be handled as much as when you dump fish into weigh basket and put same back into bag Quote
haydenf96 Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 I have the black bass pro bag. What I do is roll it up instead of folding it. It has survived a while now Quote

I have the TCB bass bag and will never buy another bag again. This bag is not sewn and bulletproof and the bonus is this bag has a shoulder strap that works great. Check it out at tackle warehouse
