Super User fishfordollars Posted September 27, 2010 Super User Posted September 27, 2010 Fishing state championship this weekend. We are fishing as a team. Day 2 starts sitting in 2nd. Co angler has a large fish in the tournament, wants to check him out at 11:00am. Opens the lid to look and a four jumps back in the lake. we did replace the fish later with a smaller fish. Went to weighin, he opens the lids before I can get back to put the net over the livewell opening to bag fish. Another one jumps out. Instead of weighing five on day two, we now have only four that go a little over 12lbs. I kept my mouth shut. Quote

backwater4 Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Your a saint. The co angler would have went the way of the bass. Over the side. We had a guy in our club open his well to bag his fish and 3 jump over. Quote
boneil Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I've never heard of that. I feel bad for laughing at that. sorry Quote
UPS VT Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I guess our fish aren't that athletic up here. I have never seen a fish jump out of the live-well. Sorry to hear about that, guess I will have to think twice the next time I check the fish in the well. Quote
kyle317289 Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I would have suggested we go fish a creek waaaayyy back in the woods. Then, I would probably show up to the weighin alone. :-X j/k... Quote
alwayslooking Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 i feel for you Jack, sounds like you were on some fish though,,, Quote
ABLE2DISABLE1 Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I was fishing a tournament, checking the live well and a fish jumped out, like yours. The difference between your fish, and mine, was it went back into the live well.Never would have thought that could happen, but it did.Needless to say we kept fishing for are limit, and did catch-em up,but when we got to the way in ,my partner loaded them into are bag,Bingo we were disqualified for weighing in 6 fish, what a messed up day.He thought the fish went over board, when it went between his legs.
