Anyone know how the Elite series chooses which lakes to hold its tournaments at? Is it up to the state to persuade the tour to come to their state or lake, or  do the sponsors get to choose where to have the tournament or is it chosen by some other means??

Depends on the local money. Citys bid on it. The one that guarantees the most money gets the show. At least that's the way it's been for years around here. Probably not going to change with the new ownership either.

Sorry to bust your bubble.

With BASS selling, will the schedule change any?

I hope it will.  They should go to some lesser known places to have the tournaments.  Still big name lakes but now the usual Falcon, Amistad, Erie, etc.
