Well, first off, I nearly missed the tourney coz I got stuck at work Friday night until nearly 130am.  Had to try to get a quick nap and be at the launch by 430.  The day nearly started out bad when I got to BS'ing and nearly back in the lake without putting the plug in.  Started fishing at approximately 5am, made about a 2 minute run to my first spot.  Had a good first half hour to say the least!  Three keepers in the boat by 530am!  Can't say I ever had that much action...especially at Glendale.  Fished until 11am and ended the day with the tournament limit 4 fish.  Our club pays 1st place-biggest fish, 2nd place-larges bag, 3rd place-2nd biggest fish, which I wish they would change because Ive had 4 fish with a good weight but get beat by someone who got lucky and caught one decent fish.  Anyway, I placed 2nd and won some money.  Now I'm sitting at work dead off my behind.....working until 4am.   Can you say LONG DAY?  I love being a police officer but man.....the hours STINK!!      Have a good day everyone.    **Caught all my keepers on a Ragetail Craw T-rigged**

Good report.

And thanks for making the world a little safer for us all as a police officer.  :)

I grew up fishing Glendale from the bank.  It's been a while since I have fished it.

Two things:

1. Have you seen any muskies come out of there?

2. Have you ever fished the area on the back side of the lake with all the pads (near where the shooting range is)?

SPEEDBEAD:

There are definetely some big muskies up there....Pike too.   The weeds are awsome this year for Musky and Pike.....As far as the lilly pads, im thinking you mean slate run, or slatelick run?  There are actually two shooting ranges with two coves will lillypads.  The one near Noel's Custard Stand and Glendale Boat Sales is Slate run, the one near the airplanes and skeet range is mudlick.  Both are awsome fishing areas.  The back part of slate run near the bridge is hard to get to by bassboat due to it being extremely shallow in most spots.  But the fishing in the entire Slatelick branch is probably the best in the lake.

Glendale is definetely my "home lake"  Ive fished there for about 20-25 years now.  Where are you from?  Im originally from the Fallentimber/van ormer area.

I grew up in Duncansville and graduated from Hollidaysburg in '97.

The one by Noel's is the area I was thinking of.  I have never fished that area in a boat, but when I would go to the range I would drool over all those pads.

Yeah, that is slate run.  Definetely a good area of you can access it!  It's also great for giant blue gills and crappie during their spawn.  Ill be fishing there this week for the weekday tournaments!
