What is it with people having to move in on spots during a professional fishing tournament, especially The Classic?

Put it all over the web that guys are fishing Beeswax Creek, and a few "locals" find it necessary to move in and fish it....RIGHT NOW!!

I don't want to hear that "public waters" crap. How about common courtesy?? Yeah, I know, it's there town, they fish there all the time, they have a club tournament next week and they are "pre-fishing" for. For one week, can't they just sit back and enjoy the show that has come to town...and the LARGE amount of revenue it brings in. ::)

The best story was from 2005 in Pittsburgh. Ish Monroe had an area all to himself and I believe it was where Hackney did very well this past year and had one of the best chances to win. When he got there a local was all over it blocking an area and wouldn't move unless Ish gave him a few rods and reels.  ::)

But I bet the other competitors are loving it. Seeing guys fishing around KVD maybe taking some fish and getting in his head.

I agree it's all about being courteous to the pros, the locals know they were playing for big money, so why intervene with being in the way and to ruin their chances of the prize money.

Tin, I never heard that story before. That surprises me, some idiot would try that. If it was me, I'd back off and see how the pro approached that area, I might learn something by doing so. ;)

Although I don't think recreational fishermen

owe any "special courtesy" to tournament

fishermen, there are certainly exceptions.

The Classic would be one of those.

I think that sometimes people can be complete a**holes. Look at the tourney Aaron Martens fished last year when a guy wouldn't moved because he had a "big tournament" next week, hey buddy Aaron is fishing there so the fish are there so sit back watch and learn. I understand it is public waters but when I am fishing if somebody is on a spot that I like I leave it alone. Don't black-male somebody for 4 rods and stuff, that should be illegal. That really fires me up that people have that little respect and that starts with parenting. >:(

It's just the way it is now. Everyone fights it. No one owns a special spot. First one there has the right.

It's unfortunate that there are people out there that pull stunts like that. I hate to see it to.

Fact is, if you are living or dying over one spot you're in a heep of trouble to begin with. You better have several backup plans or you're usually a non issue anyway

Yeah, how'd that work out for them? LOL. I think KVD's head is locked tight
