Disaster struck for Boyd Duckett, winner the last time the Classic was on Lay Lake. He blew an engine and is currently down.

As more information comes in, we will let you know, but that doesn't look good for one of the favorites.

Thats from ESPN!!

It sounds like they got him in a different boat pretty quickly, but they have no way of tracking his limit until he weighs in.  I hope he made something of it, or my fantasy team is in the crapper.

I don't follow tournament fishing, but blown engines = $$$ for me :D.

So what's the contingency plan ? Do the rules allow for an engine replacement ? Second boat ? Any penalties involved ? I would imagine he would have to eat any lost fishing time.

Do the rules allow for an engine replacement ? Yes

Second boat ? Until his is ready

Evinrude, Mercury, & Yamaha all have factory technicians on hand, he has a new motor by now.

Any penalties involved ?

I just got home and checked the leaderboard and wondered why he zeroed.  Guess this answers my question.
