GKramer Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Since the "playoffs" are just another ingredient from ESPN (who's not sure what the recipe is actually supposed to be) at least we'll see familiar names duking it out. But come on, the guys already qualified for the Classic. Let 'em breathe. For those east of the Mississippi, travel is tolerable, but those, like Dean Rojas coming from the other side of the country, it's better not to be in these extra events. Just his travel today is staggering to me.... Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted August 17, 2009 Super User Posted August 17, 2009 I bet if the anglers was to take a vote on the 3 extra tournaments, yes or no, I'd bet that 90% would vote yes. Quote
GKramer Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Exactly. Except, they eliminated the "extra" tournaments, as you described them, and then the organization added some for the top 12. In the real world they call that "arbitrary." :-? Quote
Kimbro Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I was stoked to see Gerald Swindle in it. He's one of my favorite fishermen and hopefully can rise to the occasion. Quote

I have been pulling for him for years. Great to see him make the cut. Those other guys need to pay attention, He'll sneak up and ****** it! Quote
aarogb Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I hate that Mike McClleland didn't get in it. Quote
