kayl. Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 I got a $50 giftcard from my inlaws and am stopping at Bass Pro tonight. Any new "hot" baits that I should look into? I'm interested in the Strike King Shadalicious or the Berkley Hollow Belly Swimbaits and am probably going to pick up a LC Gunfish 95, along with whatever else catches my eye... What would you buy?!? Avalonjohn44 Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Shadalicious stinks... Go with the Berkley... Quote
Simp Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Shadalicious stinks... Go with the Berkley... I hated the Berkley. That new Spro shad swimbait would be great but I don't think it's out yet. Another suggestion with fall and winter coming you could put it towards some good rain gear! Quote
rondef Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Check and see if they have the new Rage Tail Anacondas, Lobsters or Space Monkeys. I would also look for the Cavitron Buzzbaits (Ghost Minnow color). Quote

None of the three BPS's I've been to carry Cavitron's either. I think Dick's is the only one (and of course, none of them around here). :'( Ughhh! When do I get ANACONDAS!?!? > ;D Quote

Super User J Francho Posted September 12, 2008 Super User Posted September 12, 2008 I was just at BPS in Auburn the night before a tx. at Cayuga, and happened to spend about $50 there. I grabbed a few bags of Roboworms, drop shot weights, Super Chunk trailers, Parasite clips, football heads, KVD L&L, and yet another pair of braid scissors (I've fed a few to the lake gods this summer, LOL). It was sort of an anti climactic purchase, but that was all I really needed. Oh, and I've caught a few good fish on Money Minnows on both weighted and unweighted Owner Twist-Loks. Quote
rondef Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Tackle Warehouse is back ordered on the Anacondas. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted September 12, 2008 Super User Posted September 12, 2008 if you dont already have a good scale, i reccomend you get a good scale. it blows my mind how many fisherman do not have a decent scale. a reliable scale is one thing i think EVERY fisherman should have. you have $50 to spend, instead of getting a bunch of lures that might be similar to what you already have, or that may get lost, or that you may never tie on, just go ahead and put down the money on a good scale, and if there is money left, pick up a few lures. CookieMonst3r Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Forget BPS, use the money on Tackleware House. They have a huge sale on swimbaits. 8-) Quote
