I hear you can catch a quick limit in Panther creek.  I usually stay more up towards Yellow creek myself since I'm coming from TN.  Good luck on your tourney.

Here are some tips:

http://www.pickwicklake.net/Pickwick_Lake_Info/Maps/Bass_Fishing/bass_fishing.html

Panther is a "community hole". The entire bank north or to the "left"

of the cove is usually productive all the way to the island. Docks,

especially on the main lake, usually hold a few tournament bass,

but I have never caught anything over 3-4 lbs off of them.

If you put in or weigh in at State Park (Lodge), the point just west

of the marina is of special interest, but forget about the swimming

area even if it's wide open. Never done any good along the dam

either, but you will see lots of guys trying.

Good luck!

Oops! I'll leave this up for other guys interested in fishing Pickwick,

but my response has NOTHING to do with the "Alabama side".

I don't know how I missed that unless you modified the question.
