Ima Bass Ninja Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 While i watched the FLW tour on Vs. (for about 15 min) i noticed a commercial for the FLW tour that had a some professionals at the end saying something like "i am FLW" or something similar. But it looked like the female pro was Kim-Bain Moore. It would seem to me that if this was Kim that it would be a slap in the face to Bassmasters. I understand that pros go between to 2 tours and all but with the publicity and fame( and money i'm sure) that went along with being the first woman to fish the Classic, to be in a commercial promoting a competitor would be a upsetting to Bassmasters. First, was i mistaken and that was not Kim? And if it was ,what are your thoughts on "tour loyalty"? Quote
Bass Dude Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I'm not sure if she fishes FLW bass events, I have seen that her and Andre fish the FLW Kingfish tour. My thoughts on tour loyalty---I don't think anything of it. Going between tours is just another way for the fisherman to make a living and I don't see anything wrong with it. As far as your thoughts on Kim Bain---Luke Clausen did the same thing. He won The Classic and has always been an FLW mainstay. He accepted the money and fame of winning The Classic, and didn't even fish the ELITES the following year. The "fame" that she received was also good promotion for BASS so I don't feel like she owes them anything or that BASS would feel short-changed. Quote
fatbass Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 No big deal. Mama need a new pair of shoes! Whatever it takes to make a living. Quote
neckbreaker74 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I saw it too but I don't think it was her. She is fishing the WBT an has a blog on BASS website. Quote
bassnleo Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Yes, it's the same Kim Bain-Moore. She has been fishing FLW events since 2004. Quote
