BASSMAFIA Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I was looking at gemini sports marketing!!! im getting a strike king jersey... but if im not mistaking i think you have to have permission to put sponor logos on it (mercury/ basspro/minn kota)....But im not sure!!! maybe someone can clarify Quote
Willzx225 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I am trying to narrow down a jersey from Gemini. Any suggestions from those who have ordered them? Things you wish you knew before you ordered? I plan on getting the long sleeve. :-/ Quote
FHUAngler Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Our collegiate team gets our jerseys each year from Gemini. And yes, you have to have company approval to wear their logo. As far as what I wish I would have gotten done, there isnt really anything. I'll post a picture of our newest ones when they come in Monday, so you can see all the little details we thought of. Quote
Bass Dude Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 As far as getting approval for the logo, do you just contact the company? Is it easy to get their approval? I wouldn't think this would be a problem, after all it's free advertising for them, but you never know. Quote
dmac14 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 IK a few companies sell pro staff jerseys for like $80 with their logo on it Quote
Sin_City702 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I believe you can have any logo you want without permission...you just can't claim that you are sponsored by that company... Quote
mtnbasser Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 I wouldn't think you can buy hats and shirts everyday if you needed the company's permission to wear them. Maybe I'm wrong but if you buy a hat with a company logo they don't put stipulations on wearing it. Now I know you can't make money off of logos, copyrights, etc., without the permission. Quote
BillyBob Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 If you dont like wearing short sleaves down past your elbows and pulling your long sleaves up all the time, get one size smaller than you normally wear. Also at Gemini you must have permission to have a logo printed or embroidered on your shirt. The shirt I have on is from gemini. Mine is a custom worked out with my sponsors, but you can also send them one to have done like sending them a Bass Resource Shirt and having them embroider it. Quote
John G. Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Gemini and Animal Paintball both do really good work, animal paintball might be a little cheaper though. I have a Gemini Shirt, he has an Animal Paintball and he has washed his and dried his a ton of times, which you are not really supposed to do as he does and it looks great still after a year. I never had to have permission from my sponsors to use their logo I just said put these logos here on the form and they sent me a proof and I approved, it was printed. I know some guys, not naming names, with sublimated jerseys and no approval for logo usage but they had them made because they think it is cool. Quote
JT Bagwell Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I get my shirts from Gemini (see picture below) and the only time you need permission from a company to use their logo is if Gemini doesn't already have the logo on file. I had to provide 1 logo and that was the only one that I had to have permission from the company to allow Gemini to put it on my shirt. Overall the shirts are nice. I would say unless you are getting paid to wear the logo, don't waste money on at $120 jersey. I wear the long sleeved shirts because you have more ad space and also it cuts down on sun exposure. squid Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 My shirt came from Animal Paintball. John G, are you talking about me????.....lol I wash mine all the time. Quote

Pantera61 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 1. Why in Thor's name would you want to put the name of a company that is not paying you on a shirt you are paying for? 2. How do you think that affects the people who are being sponsored if someone is willing to put a company's logo or name gratis? Quote
