Hey all...

Does anyone know what happened to Tim Horton during the Classic?? I heard he was sick enough to be taken to a local hospital and also some other nasty rumors I won't repeat. ESPN didn't say a word after day one about him. A link would be nice!!

Thanks,

ajr

I hope he is OK.

All I heard was that he was ill.

Glad he did not try to fish the second day as it could have been a disaster with him sick in a boat, away from medical attention.

Let us know if he is at BPS and if he is feeling better.  :)

Classic: Horton ill, withdraws (updated) 2/21/2009

Tim Horton withdrew form the Bassmaster Classic today after falling ill with a kidney stone.

A BASS official issued the following statement: "Tim Horton withdrew from competition. He was not feeling well, and we wish him the best. It's not believed to be serious."

another site spoke with Horton, who said: "I had a severe stomach flu and dehydration caused a kidney stone. It started at about 3:30 in the morning and my wife took me to the hospital. It's very frustrating, because I was looking forward to getting back out there today and trying to catch up."

Update: Horton was released from the hospital at about 4 p.m. Saturday. He said he was feeling much better and should be fully recovered within a few days.
