What do you bring in the way of a tackle box or bag?  I bring my Okeechobee Fats bag, but I had to fish in a boat with a dual console recently and that big bag took up too much room.

I want to be prepared, but I don't want to bring everything I own.

I take my bag as well.  I have only fished out of one dual console boat, and didnt have a huge issue. The large majority of boats are single console so...

That being said, if I know the guy isnt bs'ing me, I'll bring a day box with what he wants to do, plus one for terminal tackle.  Most of that plus your raingear and all will fit in one backpack.

Most of the guys that I know who do the weekend series use a bag like that, tops of 5 rods, and a small bag to put in the side storage that has raingear and snacks.

Whenever I have a co-angler I always have room for their stuff under the deck somewhere, whether it be a compartment just for them or they can put their stuff in with mine.

If I had to fish co-angler again I'd keep it as light as possible. 4 or 5 rods and a small bag packed to the hilt.

I have the same bag and when I fish with a boater that either has a duel console or a smaller boat, I put the bag on the back deck with the front of the bag faceing the motor, and I put my right arm through the shoulder strap.  I haven't had a problem doing that yet.

Plus when you get to the spot, it is already on the back deck so you don't have to move it.

I fish the co angler side of the weekend series every year and every boater I drew alwayz had the back rear compartment empty for my gear. Thanx guyz  i really appreciate it.  Anywayz I only bring 5-6 rods at the max and i stuff a Cabelas bag w/ as much stuff as I can.  I usually bring only the baits that i use on a regular basis in the colors that I use regularly cause i feel i can catch fish anywhere anytime w/ those baits.  Plus with every boater I drew, if I didn't have something that was really specialized and and none of my stuff was working, they were more than happy to lend me a few of their copies for the day. I like to use a backpack.  I found a pack that has just enough room so I can carry 3 boxes, about 15 bags of plastics, pliers, scissors, a spool or 2 of line, some JJ's Magic and my KVD Line and Lure.  Another thing when selecting a bag is to make sure it includes a pocket for your sunglasses.  

The advantage to a backpack is that it allows you to move more freely.  Nothing sucks more than stepping from your buddies boat to your tournament partners boat and having one side of you weighed down with 700000lbs of tackle.  It's not nearly as tiring as carrying a normal bag and the shape of it is tall and narrow so it fits better in the boat.  

I usually carry 4 rods, max 5.

I leave all rear storage for the coangler.I have a good idea of what we will be doing and don't need a whole boat full of tackle.Most coanglers bring a helmet and that alone takes most of 1 box.Hope you draw some good pro side anglers that will work with you and good luck.

when i fish the BFL i take two spinning rods.{2500/4000} i have a tackle bag with two plano 3700 series {the big ones}and then i put all my hard baits in the planos and behind them i have all my plastics in plastic bags,senkos in one bag,worms in another.the bag also has side pockets that use for wieghts and the other side i put hooks. 5 powerbars and one canteen of water and i am good to go. i sometimes see guys with like 4 or 5 rods.a huge tackle bag : your a guest on someone else's pride and joy. i try to keep tackle and talk to a minimum. even though i only take two rods with me i have yet to be disappointed that i didnt take more rods with me. if you vary the tackle you take with you,keep it basic. some minnow baits,floaters and sinkers.some spinnerbaits,a few topwater,some jigs and trailers.you cant take everything with you so take the things you have CONFIDENCE in.on the FLW webpage there is a topic called the CO-ANGLER CLINIC with tips and tactics for the co-ang.

I agree with the boaters above. Unless you bring everything you own, which it sounds like you don't, the boater should have saved some storage space for you.  I do what the other guys are saying and have a compartment saved just for the co-angler.  I also save room in the cooler too.
