Super User Tin Posted September 23, 2008 Super User Posted September 23, 2008 All I needed to do is finish in the Top 40. Had a great year and even though I missed a tourney on the Hudson River I finished 15 on the co-angler side. So I qualified, really really want to go, but can't because of school. Talked to 2 of my teachers yesterday and they won't excuse me. And all of my classes give you a one letter grade lower if you miss more than 3 classes. d**n education system > Quote
flippincrazy Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Sorry, thats horrible. Best of luck to you and sounds like you'll have the oppurtunity again as long as you keep fishing. Caleb PS If school is the only thing keeping you from going, maybe a talk with the dean could help change the minds of those teachers, after all if it was a school sport they would be excused. Quote
preach4bass Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I don't see the problem. Just take off to fish the tournament. That certainly won't be longer than three days. Quote
Super User Tin Posted September 23, 2008 Author Super User Posted September 23, 2008 With the drive and registration (Thursday) I would be gone from Weds to Sunday night/Monday morning. I have never driven that far and would want another day to travel don't want to fall asleep or anything. And I have to take time out this week because I got a spider bite that got infected and had to get cut open. I'm stuck in bed and can hardly walk. So I just don't think there is any way to pull it off. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted September 24, 2008 Super User Posted September 24, 2008 Just tell them that you were bitten by a radioactive spider. They'll understand. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted September 24, 2008 Super User Posted September 24, 2008 Dang it Tin, Kerr is a great lake this time of year. Iaconelli won a Stren Series event on Kerr this past weekend. Quote
preach4bass Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Hey, it's only a letter grade or two, right? I know, I know, that was wrong, but somebody had to say it. :-/ Quote

Super User 5bass Posted September 24, 2008 Super User Posted September 24, 2008 The bite was tough all around in that Stren. A buddy fished it who lives on the lake and says the bigger fish are still deep. He couldn't get any of his boater partners to fish anything over 6 ft deep so they caught little ones every day, all day and his boaters seemed content with that. But in the end, the little ones Ike weighed in were just a shade bigger than everybody else's little ones. Quote
frogtog Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 I feel for you Tin, but look at the good side I'll be there fishing the ABA Regional all next week. Quote
