JShrock07 Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I have about 30 spinner baits but as I came to find out they are not "up to date" So I want to upgrade to better spinner baits, for fall. If anyone has any good suggestions on this please let me know. I like to throw bigger spinnerbaits and I like to slow roll them I just do not know what is the best ones for the upcoming fall feed. So add a link to the good ones Thanks Quote

bocabasser Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 IMO the 2 best on the market are hildebrand and war eagle. the okeechobee special is my go to spinner bait. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted September 2, 2008 Super User Posted September 2, 2008 I have had VERY GOOD success with the Rattle Head Baits spinnerbaits. They are made from quality components, and I believe the unique sound of the rattle chamber put quite a few more fish in my livewell. Dow and Bekki are always available to answer any questions and listen to any suggestions. Falcon Quote
Super User J Francho Posted September 2, 2008 Super User Posted September 2, 2008 "Not up to date" is about the strangest description of a spinnerbait I've heard. Are they in poor condition? What is "not up to date" about them? I have Reef Runners and Stanleys that have been catching fish for years and years. I sharpened the hooks and replaced the skirts when necessary. At any rate, I also have several Strike King Premier, Terminator T-1, and the Secret Weapon mini kits are awesome. Their design lends the bait to slow rolling and rock bumping. Quote

Super User CWB Posted September 2, 2008 Super User Posted September 2, 2008 I've been really liking the Strike King models with the perfect skirt Colorado, Willow combo. Favorite for a while has been BPS Tornado. Listen to RW. T-1 lasts forever. Quote
Cyork Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Terminator T-1. Only spinnerbaits I use. Quote

HAHA They have been in my tackle box for years and years and they are old ones, they are not as big as some of the new one on the market nor do they have the colors. Thanks for all the suggestions if anyone has anymore keep em coming. Quote
MichiganFisherman Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I like Strike King personaly. Quote
Big Tom Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I have had the best luck with the Terminators. They are really nice Spinnerbaits. And they seem indestructible. They are a bit pricey but they are worth it. Quote
surfer Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I bought this gaudy looking thing as a joke for when the fish will bite anything. If the bite was hot I was gona throw it and tease my buddy how I could catch fish on ugly lures too. To my surprise it works really good. I am not that good with spinner baits, but I like this one. I don't think it is the strongest as I frequently have to bend it back straight after catching a fish. http://www.lurenet.com/productdetail.aspx?id=byss38613 Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 2, 2008 Super User Posted September 2, 2008 Terminator T-1 . Quote
loomis spookwalker Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Terminator T-1's are the best for the price. Quote
detroit1 Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I've been "assembling" my own for so long i can't remember the last time i bought one. Quote
Jake. Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 If you can find Dave's Tournament Tackle spinnerbaits near you, try some of them out. Quote
jax Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I love my Terminator T-1. Its made of titanium which acts like memory metal. Doesn't matter how you bend it. It always goes back into place. Main draw back is I have a buddy that hooked a fishing partner of his in the head at a tournament. The paramedics didn't have anything that could cut the metal! He still has that bait to this day! I have a Strike King mini that is very nice also. Dick's has terminators for around $4. Hard to beat at that price. Quote
Jeff C. Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I second Falcons advice.... Rattle Head,, a very awsome set up. !!! Jeff Quote
