BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted March 8, 2008 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted March 8, 2008 I may have missed on the anglers but I got the weight right......For Saturday I would say no more than 2 bags over 15 and Sunday with the front those fish are going to get lockjaw....BAD....I would bet half of those professionals don't catch a limit.... GobbleDog Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Do the pros get an exemption to weigh-in 12" fish instead of the Florida regs of 14"? :-? Quote
smallieking Posted March 9, 2008 Author Posted March 9, 2008 hmm idk i always thought that they had to follow the state and lake regualations Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 9, 2008 Super User Posted March 9, 2008 Now that it's down to 13 who y'all picking? I think a 10 pound lead is a lot to over come BRIAN SNOWDEN MIKE MCCLELLAND BOBBY LANE DEAN ROJAS CHRIS LANE MARK MENENDEZ STEPHEN KENNEDY MORIZO SHIMIZU RICK ASH KENYON HILL TODD FAIRCLOTH MARK DAVIS BRADLEY HALLMAN Quote
MaxDal Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I thought B.A.S.S sanctionned tournaments had to comply with local fishing regulations too, but I also found like 2 or 3 bass that were weighed were fairly small... But I'm sure I'm wrong cause B.A.S.S knows the rules and I trust Mr Weldon on the issue. Still Jason Quinn had two fish on Day 3, that went 1lbs11oz. And Brian Easler on the co-angler side had a 0lbs12oz on day 3 too. Still better than nothing ! ;) BTW congrats to the Lane Family ! Bobby in third place and his bro in 5th. Not to mention Robert Lane on the co-angler side. Nice fishing legacy in the family ! 8-) Quote

HesterIsGod Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Man! McClelland wins one every year! He's good Quote

Super User Catt Posted March 10, 2008 Super User Posted March 10, 2008 10 of the top 12 were throwing Texas Rigged plastic Quote
Super User Tin Posted March 10, 2008 Super User Posted March 10, 2008 Snowden has a bad habit of blowing leads going into the final day, I know he did it a couple times in the Elite 50's tourney's a few years ago. This goes to show, even pro's get skunked, even KVD did it on the final day in a tourney in 2005 when he had the lead. Quote

Over the weekend, I had 3 fishing friends confirm that B.A.S.S. does give a 12" exemption while fishing in Florida. Lame I was watching the weigh-ins live on the internet and I saw a 10 and 11 oz bass brought in by co-anglers. I don't know if I could of swallowed my pride and bring it to the scales. Quote
