Korea_Bassin Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Do any of you fish Lake Seminole? I was wondering because of the Stren series tournament that was held there last weekend. Did anyone see the final results of that tournament? It looks like some really low numbers to me. The winner caught one fish on the last day and only 11 fish total over the four day tournament. There were only 264 bass caught by 186 pros on Friday including six five-bass limits. The report mentions a cold front moving through, but this still seems like some low numbers to me for a pro tournament. I guess the pros have a tough time in tough conditions too. I'll try to remember this the next time I'm having a rough go of it. Here's the link to the final report: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/stren-seminole3-08.html Quote
Olebiker Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I thought that the remarkable thing was that the winner won it catching shoal bass way up the Flint River. If I can get a kitchen pass and the weather cooperates, I will fish Seminole this weekend. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 6, 2008 Super User Posted February 6, 2008 I had several friends fish that tournament. They are all excellent anglers and out of 5 guys they caught 4 fish total. It was a tough bite from the first day till the last. Quote
alger319 Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 yeah i really can't believe that out of Lake Seminole. i know its an awesome fishery , but that must have been some weird weather for such low four day totals. Quote

I cannont believe it was won by an angler that didn't catch a single largemouth, and also an angler who caught 1 fish on the final day. I watched the tourny closesly after Day 2. This is a story that I love to hear. Targeting Shoal bass is definately thinking "outside of the box" Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 8, 2008 Super User Posted February 8, 2008 He ran 40+ miles up the river to catch them to. They were huge shoal bass to. Quote
