Did anyone catch last weeks episode?  I missed it but plan on watching the new one today at 6:30 Eastern.  I was just curious how the show was with college anglers instead of pros.

Pretty boring actually.   Kids just dont have the charisma and after one of the kids said it was first time he had  ran a trolling motor I realized i wasnt gonna gain much from it.

Where are they fishing? I watch the show mostly b/c they've been on my two favorite area lakes, and I like seeing what they're doing, plus I've been able to pick up a few new places by spying the shoreline.

If he has never controlled the front of the boat I am assuming he never ran the big engine.  How fun would that be.  Ride shotgun with some kid that has never ran a big engine (probably a 250 HP) and not even know his name.  I think I will pass!

I am not sure what lake it is but its up in New York.  A keeper is 12" so there must be a ton of bass in there.  Is this a common practice up north?  Its going to fun to see how the guys from Texas and Oklahoma do.

Yeah it was pretty bad when he was talkin about not running a trolling motor it showed him almost fall in doing it.

Have to add I just watched the second week and it was much more enjoyable.

Its not the best show but its not all that terrible either.  I will continue to watch it when its on.  Not so much as to learn something but its a fishing show.  I believe they are fishing in Oneida Lake?

I watched this week show and didn't think it was to bad.  It was between PSU and WU.  They did have a hard time talking and fishing at the same time.  I think that alot of us would have the same problems.  The cameras, fishing on TV, a pro watching, a tournament with a different format, and not to mention the winds that they were dealing with.  The one thing that was somewhat impressive to me is that they were fishing off shore.  There is alot of fisherman out there that can't fish offshore, or at least with success.  Most fisherman get on the lake and pound the bank.  The one angler during prefishing did some dives to look at the structure.  The one angler also used a hand held GPS when he was in the front of the boat.  Overall, I didn't think it was to bad you just need to keep in mind that there not pro's.  They don't have the experince of running the boat, takling to the cameras, and fishing at the same time.
