JayDub Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I'm talking about actually WIN a tournament instead of getting second. ;D LOL. Seriously, it's like he has a runners up curse! But he may break it tomarrow, and get a little better lead on KVD in the points. I say good for him. Quote
Tpayneful Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Does anyone know where he has been fishing on the Potomac? Quote
Super User Root beer Posted August 13, 2007 Super User Posted August 13, 2007 Does anyone know where he has been fishing on the Potomac? Bassmaster claiming he been fishing nanjemory creek or whatever it spell. Quote
New Bass Man Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Nanjemoy Creek. It was a good win for Skeet. The crowd went nuts when he won. I thought Kelly Jordon was going to pull it out again. But Skeet proved too much for him. The tour is skipping the Potomac next year. Who knows if they will ever come back. I'm told the anglers don't like the Potomac. Tripp Weldon presented a key local organizer a gift on behalf of Bassmaster. Sounded final to me. Small crowd there yesterday. About enough to fill two normal size bleacher section. Quote
JCrzy4Bass Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I don't understand how a pro doesn't like a place where he can pull a bag of 17-18+ on TWO seperate days in the tourney. I understand they have to make some long runs, but the water on the Potomac isn't that harsh so it doesn't really differ from other calm rivers. Also isn't Potomac suppossed to be like the best bass fishery on the east coast as far as a river for Largemouth? Quote
JCrzy4Bass Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Watchin the FLW Outdoor Tour on tv, it seems like those guys have a blast. Laughing, joking... really enjoying pitching into grass and pads with plastics and stuff. I've never been to an event on the Potomac but if it comes back next year I want to try and make the weigh in for a day or two and see some of these guys in person. Quote
New Bass Man Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 You won't see it here next year. It think it'll be several years, if ever. Quote

New Bass Man Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 What do you mean? The Potomac is a top-notch bass fishery. Bassmaster Magazine rated it in the top 10 of all bass fisheries. Quote
