ga_hawghauler Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I used to get them when i first started tourney fishing but not to a point to make me sick. Maybe caused me to lose some sleep the night before the tourney though. Now fishing a tourney is about like going fishing any other time. Just go and try to enjoy being on the lake. Quote
INDIANA BASSMASTER Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 KEEP FISHING THOSE TOURNAMENTS . WHEN YOU DONT HAVE JITTERS ANYMORE ITS TIME TO QUIT FISHING THE TOURNAMENTS. DONT WORRY ABOUT THEM .ITS PART OF THE PROCESS . ISNT IT GREAT Quote
MattStrykul Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 This is a good reason why I'm so glad I am a competitive rollerblader. I've skated in competitions since I was like 8, so now I'm used to the feeling. I have yet to do my first bass tourney, but will this sunday. I'm not going to fish to win, just have a good time and relax (but of course I would love to get in the top 15) ;D Quote
IdahoLunkerHunter Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 The adrenaline is what gets me. It's a natural feeling. If you didn't get pumped up why would wanna keep doing it? Quote
Brian_Reeves Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I get the jitters until I get in the boat and out on the water. All the way to the lake I'm excited and anxious...running color and weight formulas through my head, reading notes about the day before during practice, and thinking of the best/shortest routes for my milk runs. As soon as I am on the water....zen like calm. I barely talk, I don't stop watching my line, and my mind is computing 100000000 things at once. It works. Quote
wickyman Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I don't so much, get the jitters, but it feels like I am going to be nauscious every time I hit the lake! Pretty common thing for those whom love the sport. I get really anxious to catch a fish, and when I do, I freak out, and get really excited! Eventually, after a few hours on the lake, it goes away.
